Call for submissions: Get OUT Cabaret

Calling all queer artists, experimenters, performance makers, poetic dreamers, radical doers, boundary-pushers, and wonder-seekers. Get OUT and bring your art.

This is an open call for artists for Intrepid Theatre’s Get OUT Cabaret, a special one-night performance to launch the 2018 OUTstages Festival. This multi-disciplinary cabaret will be programmed with diverse samplings of the inspired, kitschy, simple & sweet, avant-garde, eccentric, and fabulous. Pieces can be any type of live performance and we encourage artists of all disciplines to apply. All submissions should deal with themes of sexuality, gender identity & conformity, LGBTQ2+ issues or have general queer content and have a running time of no longer than 10 minutes.

This is a chance to try out new work, collaborate with new artists, push the form of live performance, or make some wild theatre. All artists programmed will receive an honorarium, a short technical rehearsal in the space, and promotional support from Intrepid Theatre.
