Victoria Fringe
2021

With the easing of restrictions, the Victoria Fringe returned with new dates and new ways to Fringe in 2021. Running August 13 – September 24, the 2021 Victoria Fringe hosted both live and online shows and experiences, and adapted to changing Provincial Health Orders as required. The Fringe that Victoria knows and loves looked different last year, but we were thrilled to be able to return to live theatre and showcase the unjuried and uncensored work of independent artists over 6 weeks last summer.

A Vancouver Island festival tradition for more than three decades, Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival takes over downtown Victoria BC each summer for a celebration of live performance from around the world, featuring an eclectic mixture of spoken word, drama, musicals, dance, comedy, magic, theatre for young audiences and more at venues across the city.

Watch 2 minute teasers from all 20 shows in the festival in this digital Fringe Preview! Closed captions can be turned on by clicking on the “CC icon”.

Tickets for in-person shows can be purchased by table of 2, table of 4, or single seats and the audience capacity is 72 seats at The Metro Studio. NEW this year, 100% of tickets will be sold in advance. To do our part to limit groups gathering, including line-ups outside Fringe venues, there will not be tickets reserved for at the door sales.

Tickets for online on-demand shows can be purchased until 10pm on the final night of the show’s run, and a custom link is e-mailed to you when you purchase so you can watch anytime during the week the show is available.

Our ticketing system is new this year, and you will purchase all online tickets directly on our website. You can purchase multiple tickets in one transaction, the shows will be added to your cart and you can check out when you’re ready to complete your purchase.

You don’t need a Fringe Button to attend a show this summer, but we will have two collectible 2021 Victoria Fringe Buttons so you can add to your collection and support Intrepid Theatre.

There is a $1 processing fee on each ticket.
