Venue Information

All in-person Fringe shows are at the Metro Theatre, located at 1411 Quadra Street (corner of Johnson & Quadra).

Tickets & Seating

This year, 100% of all tickets will be sold in advance, and no tickets will be held for at-door sales.

To limit contact, there are no physical tickets or print-at-home tickets. No need to print your confirmation email! When you arrive at The Metro Studio on the evening of the show, head to the white tent to check in and give the name the tickets are booked under. An usher or Front of House Manager will show you to your seat or table.

Tickets are sold for Single Seats, Tables of 2, and Tables of 4. Tables are spaced on tiered risers. Single seats are located at the back and cannot be moved or pushed together. Under Public Health Orders, seats must be pre-assigned, and patrons are not permitted to switch tables once they have been assigned. Public Health Orders also stipulate that patrons should not congregate and should go directly to their table.

Wheelchair accessible seating is in the first row on ground level. If you have any accessibility or seating needs, let us know by filling out the provided field when you book your tickets online, and we’ll make sure to assign a seating location that works for you.

The theatre opens for seating 20 minutes before showtime. After the show, please exit promptly so our staff can sanitize the seating area. We appreciate if you take garbage and recycling from your table to the bins by the theatre exit.

As of August 25, masks are required in all indoor public spaces, including theatres. Please bring your mask to all Fringe shows and wear it while moving around the venue. Masks may be removed temporarily while you are seated at your table to consume beverages from the concession.

A bar/concession is open with beer, wine, and sparkling water available. Select shows do not have liquor service, at the discretion of the artist. This year, we are accepting debit and credit in addition to cash, and encourage contactless card payment. Fringe buttons (not required to see shows this year, but fun to collect!) and Fringe tote bags are also sold at the concession.

Air Circulation

As part of Victoria Fringe’s communicable disease prevention plan, air conditioning will be on at all times during shows, to keep air circulating. The system makes a low humming noise.

The lights in the entrance area and lobby are LED and incandescent. The lights in the theatre are incandescent.

The lights in the hallways to the washrooms, and the washrooms themselves, are fluorescent, both the upstairs washrooms and the wheelchair accessible washroom on the main floor.

Small LED candles are placed on each table, which emit a flickering light.
