During the reign of Russia’s Nicholas 1st, the very rich grew richer, and the poor, even poorer (imagine that!). This adaptation of Gogol’s Diary of a Madman is tragi-farce mocking the 19th century Russian class system. We witness the hapless Aksenty Ivanovich re-live the consequences of his attempt to rise above his situtation. Clayton has been active on the Fringe Festival circuit since 1986, playing across Canada and the US, and at the Edinbourough Fringe. Past 4 & 5 star presentations include: One-Man Hamlet, Moscow Stations, and Falstaff.
