Before Ella, Tina, Billie, or Beyoncé – there was JOSEPHINE

Josephine is an international award-winning off-Broadway one-woman biographical musical that combines cabaret, theatre and dance to tell the story of the iconic Josephine Baker, the first African-American international superstar and one of the most remarkable figures of the 20th Century.

Tymisha Harris stars in this dazzling retelling of Josephine Baker’s life as singer, movie star, WWII spy, civil rights activist, and cultural icon.

“Tymisha Harris is a tour de force!”
★★★★★ – Broadway Baby

“(Tymisha Harris) should be starring in a movie version directed by Baz Luhrmann.” – RuPaul Charles

Colin Thomas (Vancouver)- “Crucially, Harris embodies the exuberance, the sheer, fucking unleashed Eros that Baker was famous for.”
