Intrepid Theatre

Miss the Fringe? Write a message of encouragement to your favourite Fringe artist, a volunteer (or all the volunteers!), Fringe staff or even another random Fringe goer. It could be a word, a poem, a sentence, or a letter. You can either make an appointment to dictate your message in person to a stenographer outdoors at Fringe HQ (aka Intrepid Theatre) or submit a message online which we will type up on a postcard and send to your intended recipient. If you would like the possibility to receive a response by way of postcard exchange, include your email or mailing address.

Online

Fill out this form to submit your Fringe Postcard message and our trusty stenographers will type up your message and mail to the recipient (and email you an image of the card if you request). Note, virtual submission closes end of day Sunday August 30.

In Person

By Appointment only (we cannot accommodate walk ins). If you would like to come in person on either Weds Aug 26 3-6pm or Sunday Aug 30, noon – 3pm, please make an appointment here. Two typewriter stations will be set up outside of Fringe HQ (Intrepid Theatre) in a physically distanced setting, and a Fringe stenographer (aka Producer Sammie Gough or former Artistic Director Janet Munsil) will type your message onto a postcard, then we’ll pop it in the mail to send to the recipient.

Access – Please see appointment link for COVID-19 safety details. The Intrepid Theatre parking lot is wheelchair accessible and includes one designated accessible parking spot. The lot has sloping bitumen that is uneven in places. There is one designated accessible parking spot in front of Serious Coffee (shares the parking lot with Intrepid Theatre Club). There is also a loading zone directly in front of the Intrepid Theatre Club doors which can be used for drop-off and pick up.
