About the artist/company

Keara Barnes is an award winning actor from Vancouver, B.C. She holds a BFA in Theatre from The University of Victoria and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.

Also a writer/producer, Keara is the creator/performer behind two critically acclaimed solo shows: ALMOST A STEPMOM ( 2017 Vancouver Celticfest *SOLD OUT RUN*, 2017 Vancouver Fringe *SOLD OUT RUN* 2016 Calgary Fringe *WINNER* Jester’s Cap Award, 2015 Victoria Fringe) and TRAVELTHEATRICS (2018 Winnipeg Fringe, 2018 Vancouver Fringe).

TRAVELTHEATRICS was most recently one of three international plays selected for the 2019 Suncor Stage One Festival of New Canadian Work at Lunchbox Theatre, the top noon hour theatre company in the word.

Keara has travelled to 34 countries, has over 50 stage/screen/voice over credits and is delighted to be bringing TravelTheatrics to her alma mater city of Victoria.
