Grim & Fischer is now SOLD OUT!
The Grim Reaper meets his match in Mrs. Fischer, a stubborn senior whose will to live is a force to be reckoned with. Equal parts hilarious and touching, this award-winning physical comedy is the story of a tenacious granny who comes face to face with the Grim Reaper himself and must put up the fight of her life to escape his definitive grip.
Grim and Fischer is performed in full-face mask, a wordless, whimsical form that audiences have described as watching a living cartoon, or live-action Pixar. The show has been touring the continent since 2011 and leaving sold out houses and delighted audiences in its wake. Don’t miss this profoundly fun and heartwarming show that the CBC describes as “Utter magic” and the Globe and Mail as “Powerful, surprising, and, yes, moving.”
“You will laugh, you will cry, you will stand in awe.” – Edmonton Sun
“Fantastic, in every sense of the word.” – Cincinnati Enquirer
“It’s all wonderful, original, beautiful fun to watch unfold on stage.”
– Calgary Herald

About WONDERHEADS
WONDERHEADS is a multi-award winning physical theatre company specializing in mask performance and exquisite visual storytelling. Their work is performed in full-face mask, a non-verbal form that mixes European larval mask traditions with character mask styles, resulting in a whimsical, wordless craft rarely seen on North American stages.
The Heads are Kate Braidwood and Andrew Phoenix, who came together in 2009 resolved to do their part in conjuring a little magic and wonder into the world. Armed with their respective careers in the professional theatre, a shared background in the most curious of MFA degrees (Ensemble Based Physical Theatre, Dell’Arte International) and a mutual proclivity for all things bizarre and extraordinary, they set out to create Grim and Fischer. This, the story of a feisty grandmother who battles it out with the Grim Reaper himself, has been busy touring the US and Canada and is the recipient of eight Best of Fest awards, the Daily City Audience Choice Award for Best National Show (Orlando, 2015), and the League of Cincinnati Theatres Award for Outstanding Production (2012).
