About the artist: Haley McGee is an internationally acclaimed writer and performer who is one of the new rising stars of Canadian theatre. She has toured her critically lauded solo shows I’m Doing This for You and OH MY IRMA across Canada and internationally including stops in NYC, London, Edinburgh, Berlin, Amsterdam, Tampere and Ulaanbaatar, among many others. OH MY IRMA has been translated into French, German and Bulgarian. In the spring of this year, The Camden People’s Theatre in London, UK presented the premiere of Haley’s newest piece, Kitchener+Waterloo, a show about her hometown. CPT is developing another new work by Haley, The Ex-Boyfriend Yard Sale, in which she wrestles with the audience to figure out the cost of love. As a writer she has developed works with Banff Playwrights’ Colony, Tarragon Playwrights’ Unit, Glassco Translation Residency and Stratford Festival. Toronto’s Common Boots Theatre commissioned and produced Haley’s outdoor winter play Weather the Weather.  haleymcgee.ca
