A magical puppet tale for the whole family, from Pick of the Fringe winners Mochinosha (Space Hippo, 2016).
Shadow Kingdom is a brand new show done in the cinematic shadow puppetry style of the hit show Space Hippo but aimed at young people and the young at heart. It is an hour long and features original music by Elliott Loran. The show deals with the modern day phenomenon of FOMO (fear of missing out), one of the leading causes of sleep depravation, which in turn is hurting our dream life and imaginations. This is a problem that affects people of all ages but is harming children the most. Our hope with this show is that the kids who watch it will be inspired to spend less time on their phones and more time dreaming. The story is about a young girl who doesn’t want to go to bed and runs away to a magically surreal kingdom inhabited by nocturnal creatures where it is always night and sleep has been outlawed by a tyrannical ruler.
Children’s tickets $10 apply for ages 13 and under. Recommended for ages 6 years+.
