In WTF? (or What’s Theatre For?) acclaimed theatre artist Daniel MacIvor takes us on a journey through his personal and professional life to help us (and him) understand the accident of intention, the profundity of the random, and the wisdom of not knowing. WTF? is a keynote talk commissioned specifically for the 20th UNO Fest.

About the artist: A playwright, director, actor and artistic director of da da kamera from 1987 to 2007, Daniel’s work has toured extensively internationally and in Canada. His plays include You Are Here, In On It, A Beautiful View and the solo shows House, Here Lies Henry, Monster, and Cul-de-sac. From 2007 to 2015 he was playwright-in-residence at the Tarragon Theatre in Toronto where his plays How It Works, Communion, Was Spring, Cake and Dirt and The Best Brothers were produced. As a playwright his work has been translated into French, Portuguese, Spanish, Czech, German and Japanese. He is the recipient of a Governor General’s Award, an Obie Award, a GLAAD Award and the Siminovitch Prize in Theatre. reworkproductions.com
