Assistant Technical Director (part-time+)

Intrepid Theatre has an immediate opening for a creative and experienced Assistant Technical Director. We’re looking for the right individual to join our Production team on a part-time, term contract basis to offer terrific customer service and exceptional technical capabilities to Intrepid Theatre’s Festivals and presentations such as Incoming Festival, OUTstages, and the Victoria Fringe Festival, as well as to our rental clients. Reporting to the Production Manager, you would mostly work in the Metro Studio Theatre (a 172-seat black box studio theatre), but occasionally also in the Intrepid Studio (a 40-seat flexible black box), and other off-site venues.

Technical Stage Employees of Intrepid Theatre are represented by IATSE Local 168. The successful ATD candidate must be a member or permittee, or willing and eligible to become a permittee of Local 168. Hiring preference will be given to qualified existing Local 168 members.


Assistant Production Manager (Summer)

We are hiring for an Assistant Production Manager for the 2023 Fringe Festival! Supervised by our Production Manager, this is a full-time position with a start date of July 3, 2023, running until September 10, 2023. The APM will assist the Fringe Production Manager in production planning, scheduling, equipment rental, artist and technical liaison, as well as assisting in planning, production, and stage management of the Fringe’s special events.

Festival Assistant (Summer) – APPLICATIONS CLOSED

We are seeking a Festival Assistant for the 2023 Fringe Festival! Supervised by our Box Office Manager and Front of House Coordinator, this is a full-time position that runs July 10 – September 4. The Festival Assistant role will focus highly on customer service, collaboration, and the ability to adapt to varying day-to-day responsibilities, including organizing the Fringe online auction, organizing fringe artist billeting, working to implement volunteer training, assisting with financial reconciliation and cash management, and more.

Producer’s Assistant (Summer) – APPLICATIONS CLOSED

We are hiring a Producer’s Assistant for the 2023 Fringe Festival! Supervised by the Fringe Producer and Associate Producer, this is a full-time position that runs July 10 – September 4. The Producers Assistant role will focus strongly on event coordination and artist liaising, and including assisting with Fringe ancillary events, management and planning of Fringe Cabaret (previously known as Fringe Club), including coordinating with FOH Coordinator, and assisting Fringe Management with overall festival planning, volunteer management and artist communications.

Festival & Volunteer Coordinator (Summer) – APPLICATIONS CLOSED

We are seeking a Festival & Volunteer Coordinator for the 2023 Fringe Festival! Supervised by the Front of House Coordinator, this is a full-time position that runs July 10 – September 4. The Festival & Volunteer Coordinator role has a strong emphasis on customer service, organization, and comfortability in a leadership role. The Festival & Volunteer Coordinator will, among other responsibilities, welcome and interact with audiences, artists, and volunteers in a friendly and calm manner; fill in for any staff members if needed in Front of House, Site operations, box office and artist services; communicate regularly with volunteers via email, social media, phone and in person, and work with FOH Coordinator on volunteer outreach/intake/interviews.
