Call for artists: Metro Studio After Dark

As part of our Spring Series, we are presenting low tech livestreams, broadcast on Facebook & Instagram Live from the stage of The Metro Studio. We have a COVID-19 safety plan for The Metro, and we will work with you to ensure that your performance adheres to this. There will be a short tech rehearsal before the livestream. There are performance slots available April 9/10 and April 23/24.

This is an open call for artists, and we are looking for 1 or 2 person sets that are between 20 and 30 minutes in length, and have simple technical requirements. We will provide a technician, theatre sound system, theatre lighting, and the streaming platforms and low-tech gear. Live or acoustic music works best for vocal or instrumentation, and performances that can be tightly framed for the livestream (ie: not full stage). We want to hear from diverse local artists and queer artists from all performance disciplines (dance, theatre, music, performance art, opera, spoken word)

Applications are due Friday, March 19. There is an artist fee for each programmed performance.
