Corey Payette is one of Canada’s most significant musical theatre composers. After a highly successful world premiere at The Cultch in 2017, his musical Children of God has toured the country, receiving accolades and acclaim along the way. Applauded as “must-see theatre for Canadians” by The Globe and Mail, it celebrates the resilience and the power of the Indigenous cultural spirit. Another one of his musicals, Les Filles du Roi, was the winner of four 2019 Jessie Awards, with The Georgia Straight calling the gorgeous trilingual musical “a triumph…a work of monumental importance.”
Corey Payette In Concert takes a collection of his songs in English, French, Ojibway, and Kanien’kéha (Mohawk), and weaves together a transformative evening of story, music, and Indigenous excellence.
Featuring special guest Julie McIsaac and pianist Heather Burns.
