Monobrow is a throw-down cabaret of solo stories from local and festival performers. There will be heartfelt personal stories, hilarious hot-takes, and some blatant lies spun by these storytelling wiz-kids. Normally, the audience votes for the winner, who takes home the coveted Monobrow crown. In this online version, the decision will be made by a guest judge, the closest we could get to a celebrity, Victoria’s bearded drag queen, Woofie Goldberg.

Monobrow has been a staple of UNO Fest and Intrepid Theatre for about a decade, first dreamed up by Megan Newton. Meg lost her battle to cancer, and we continue Monobrow on in her memory. The show raises money for the Megan Newton Scholarship Fund, which supports an award for a post-secondary theatre student.

Hosted by Monster Theatre’s Tara Travis and Ryan Gladstone. This event will include live captioning provided by the Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre.
