About the artists:

ANNIE FOX (playwright) Annie Fox trained as an actor in New York and at LAMDA. Under the name Andrea Browne, she worked in theatre, film, television and radio. She also taught English and Drama in London schools. She now writes educational books for several publishers. Her debut play, WOMAN CAUGHT UNAWARE, was a finalist in the inaugural Heretic Voices competition, and was performed at the Arcola Theatre, London, in 2018.

DAVINA STEWART (Mary)

An award winning actress, improviser and graduate of the University of Alberta BFA Acting program Davina, is delighted to be back performing in her hometown of Victoria!

Over the past several months she’s been fortunate to have worked on a number of exciting projects. Some of these include directing PRETTIER WOMAN (Spotlight Cabaret) and THE HUNCHBACK VARIATIONS (Northern Light Theatre) appearing in the online production of Tennessee Williams SOMETHING UNSPOKEN (NLT), recording the radio play PIA & MARIA (Concrete Theatre), most recently appearing in COTTAGERS AND INDIANS (Shadow Theatre) and receiving an AMPIA nomination and winning Best Actress at the Christian Film Festival for her performance in Matt Alden’s short film THE OLD FARM.

She currently resides in Edmonton and has worked with many of city’s theatre companies including the Citadel Theatre, Teatro la Quindicina, Mayfield Dinner Theatre, Workshop West Theatre, Theatre Network, Punctuate Theatre & Guys In Disguise.

Selected previous credits include: AN IDEAL HUSBAND, HELLO DOLLY, SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER (Citadel Theatre); VANYA, SONIA, MASHA AND SPIKE (Shadow Theatre); SUMMIT CONFERENCE (Northern Light Theatre); COCKTAILS AT PAM’S, PITH, THE VILE GOVERNESS, & EVELYN STRANGE (Teatro Quindicina); MARION BRIDGE, A BEAUTIFUL VIEW (Theatre Network).

MASON SNELGROVE (music)

Mason is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this show through sound design. He is an accomplished instrumentalist, composer and performer. Mason is in grade 11 at Strathcona High School and is studying jazz piano and composition. Previous sound designs include DESTINATION WEDDING (Whizgiggling Productions) and THE GREAT WHOREHOUSE FIRE OF 1921 (Northern Light Theatre).

TREVOR SCHMIDT (director)

Trevor is the Artistic Director of Northern Light Theatre as well as a performer, designer of set and costume, a published playwright and a multiple award winner. He has been awarded twice for playwrighting (THE WATERMELON GIRLS, and CHANGE ROOM), for directing the Canadian premieres of Carol Anne Duffy’s THE WORLD’S WIFE and Sean Graney’s THE 4TH GRADERS PRESENT AN UNNAMED LOVE-SUICIDE and the outstanding production award for the Canadian premiere of Elise Forier Edie’s THE PINK UNICORN. He has also performed the one-man show COFFEE DAD, CHICKEN MOM, AND THE FABULOUS BUDDHA BOI in New York as part of the FRIGID FESTIVAL, and for which he also received the Sterling award for Outstanding Performance. He has also received the Orlando Fringe award for Best Female Performance (Bitch) for Bette Davis in the much-lauded BITCHSLAP!.
