One part confessional, one part drag extravaganza, and all parts celebration, Where the Two-Spirit Lives explores what it means to identify as a Two-Spirit person in a contemporary society. It is about the journey we take when faced with our authentic self, while decolonizing gender fluidity through isolation and ritualization. It is a mixture of commentary and reflection tied together with drag performances that refer back to the power and resurgence of the Two-Spirit identity: The intersectionality of being a queer person of colour and how that awakens the inner diva.

About the company
Theatre Outré is an uncensored and uncompromising voice to those in our community who are often considered to exist beyond the fringes of social propriety, sexual norms and gendered expectations.
Our season is selected to entertain, enlighten, challenge and provoke. The season will be a combination of new work by local artists, reinterpretations of old works and published plays that fit our definition of outré.
We make a concerted effort to employ artists who choose to live, work and study in the Lethbridge area, and to make their work known to communities outside of Lethbridge through tours and other forms of inter-community outreach. theatreoutre.ca
