WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT ON THE DANCE FLOOR?
Two friends, Gary and Desiree, retrace their steps from the night before to figure out how it all ended in an explosive fight. In their effort to figure out last night’s facts, Gary, a white gay boy, and Desiree, a straight black woman, shift from self to alter-ego,and along the way, are met with stunning revelations. Body So Fluorescent is an inviting, racy and outrageous solo-show: asking difficult questions about Blackness, otherness and oppression.
Body So Fluorescent toured to OUTstages in February 2019, and the creators of the solo stage show have now created a film based on the play. The presentation of Body So Fluorescent: The Short Film will be followed by a talkback with co-creators of the stage play David di Giovanni and Amanda Cordner.
