Performers

Anneda

Candy Whip

A person lays on their stomach, wearing bright pastel colours, a pink and purple wig, pink heart shaped glasses and holding a bottle of wine. Behind them a person makes a yelling face into a gold landline phone. They wear a long purple wig and pink heart shaped glasses.

Candy whip is a queer femme musical comedy duo based in Victoria, BC. They produce
raunchy bangers that will make you laugh and dance simultaneously. What started as a way to
pass the time as a covid hobby has turned into a force more powerful than the highest setting
on your hitachi. They’re sweet, they’re sassy, and they’re ready to whip you into shape, so strap
in and remember your safe words sweetie.

Felicia Harding

a person leans against a thin tree, they wear a dark coat and pants and a nude shirt with tassels on the bottom. The sun behind them is setting.

Songwriter, vocal coach and multi-instrumentalist Felicia Harding is a road-warrior who offers a distinct voice from Vancouver Island. She has toured Canada extensively with alt-pop/rock band Fortune Killers (“one of Victoria’s best up-and-coming acts” – Rolling Stone) and completed 7 Australian tours with folk-pop trio Belle Miners and as well as a tour of Europe with indie-folkronica duo The Sleeves.

A musical shape-shifter, her soaring vocals imbue a golden thread of continuity, melting Lana Del Ray’s sultry tones with Kate Bush’s vibrato a dash of Jenn Grant’s playful warmth.

Since the pandemic (which put international travel on hold) she’s been playing solo and streaming regularly on Instagram and Twitch while writing and recording her next releases.

Fierce Brosnan

A person in drag leans against a wall. The mural behind them is colourful and abstract. They wear a purple and blue shirt, gold chain necklace and dramatic makeup. They have a beard and moustache and wear blue glasses.

“A recent transplant to the island, this charmer had been shimmying his shoulders across Victoria’s stages. He’s full of sass, class and a whole lot of … Heart. You can describe him as hypnotically caucasian and just doing his darndest! It’s Fierce Brosnan”

Hoelune Rose

A person stands looking down at the camera in a phone booth. They wear red lipstick and holds their hand delicately beside their face.

Hoélune is bringing a little bit more jazzy catchy pop to our scene, usually with her iconic ruby red Les Paul ukulele. Hoélune Rośe performs with dance a delight while uplifting her audience through it all. Over the summer she has performed across the stages of Victoria and Vancouver most recently performing at The Victoria Pride Festival. For this show Hoélune has invited a special constellation of musicians; Adam Harrison, who is her brother, a song writer, singer, pianist and guitar composer and a life-long friend and Amy Vessy, who sparkles up the stage with her keys.  Together they collectively create a mix of jazzy, soulful, power-pop and a mix of something special, something original. Together they will gift their audiences some groovy tunes that are sure to get stuck in your head and to soothe the heart, and lastly to uplift the spirit.

Nice Verdes

Two people stand, the one on the left leans their elbow on the others shoulder. They hold an accordion. The person to the right holds a guitar. Behind them are palm trees.

Nice Verdes are a two-piece act that met during a peace march in Vancouver, Canada in 2003.

They play a multi-genre mix of melodies, with a style that flows from original sounds to music from the traditions of Latin America.

They traded the conventional life for a life on the road as artists, and the spirit of adventure inspires them.

Their music is defined as infectious sunny melodies that create something fresh and honest. Their organic sounds are inspired by the places they go and the people and landscapes they meet.

Years of relentless touring have seen the pair play a diverse mix of venues and locations in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Latin America, and Europe.

They continue to hone their craft by studying in places such as Cuba and Colombia, as well as soaking in any inspirational sounds and songs through their collaborations and encounters with others along the way.
