About the artist/company

British-born Maggie Gallant has lived in Austin, Texas with her husband, Erik, since 2000. After a corporate career in PR, Maggie tried her hand at stand-up comedy where her ‘cute accent’ was much praised. Now a writer, performer, and purveyor of afternoon teas, Maggie enjoys living Texas so much that she can’t wait to come to Victoria. Hot Dogs at the Eiffel Tower premiered at the Austin Short Fringe. Since then the show has been seen in Winnipeg, New York City, Dallas, and a 5-week run at the Hyde Park Theatre in Austin.
Artist reviews: “As a performer, Gallant sparkles like the Eiffel Tower’s light show. She’s energy and presence personified; warm and quick-witted and completely present.” – Kelly Stifora, CBC ★★★★★ www.thebritishwoman.com/hotdogs
