Call for submissions: Theatre Under the Gun

Applications are now open for the 3rd instalment of Theatre Under the Gun Victoria!

What is it? Victoria’s ace indie theatre-makers race against the clock to create brand new 10-minute plays in just 48 hours using only their quick wits, raw talent and a mysterious gift-wrapped box of inspiration. This epic theatre adventure returns to Victoria for the 3rd time, veterans of the challenge keep returning and newcomers are always welcome. It’s deadline driven, insomnia fuelled creation at its best. 

How does it work? Theatre Under the Gun is a 48-hour play making project that will begin on Friday, March 11, and end with a performance of six fully produced, off-book, 10-minute plays at the Metro Studio on Sunday March 13. Each team is given an inspiration packages that becomes the impetus for their new creation.

Who can apply? You can apply as an existing company of any size or as an ad hoc collective (2 or more people). This is a chance for talented indie artists from all disciplines to make new work, work with new artists and make some wild theatre!
